Dr. Daya K. Gupta is the
chief eye surgeon at the Gupta Eye Centre,
as well as Medical Director of the Ultravision
Eye Laser Centre. With 36 years of eye surgery
experience, Dr. Gupta is a specialist in cataract,
glaucoma, retinal laser and Excimer Laser
Surgery, and has undergone extensive training
in both Canada and the U.S. He has performed
over 20,000 successful cataract surgeries.
In fitting recognition of
his leadership vision, his contributions to
the community and his service to his patients
and the medical community, Dr. Gupta was nominated
for the prestigious Order of Manitoba award
in 2002.

Dr.
Gupta is an avid golfer. This passionate golf
fanatic sponsors two annual tournaments at Niakwa
Golf and Country Club in Winnipeg and participates
in numerous local, national and international
pro-am tournaments.
Dr. Gupta’s wife
of 36 years is a uro-gynaecologist and a national
authority on urinary incontinence. Together
they have been a very positive influence on
their two children. Their son is a plastic surgeon
on the faculty of the University of Texas in
San Antonio. Their daughter, besides being a
physician, is an excellent professional East
Indian dancer.
